Petrotechnics secures Chevron contract

International Oil Services Company, Petrotechnics, has been selected by Chevron North Sea Ltd to supply, implement and support an integrated electronic work control system. The company's award-winning Integrated Safe System of Work, Sentinel PRO, will be used to incorporate permit to work, isolation management and risk assessment on all five of Chevron's North Sea assets.

Petrotechnics' CEO, Phil Murray, commented: "this is a strategically important contract win that will align Chevron's North Sea assets with the remainder of the UKCS and will serve to harmonise the five electronic Permit to Work (PTW) systems within Chevron North Sea."

The contract will see over 500 Chevron personnel trained on the work control system with training commencing in November 2008. The first 'Go-Live' is scheduled for December and the project phase is due for completion in March 2009.
