This year's competition attracted a total of 137 entries across the nine categories. 70 of the submissions were safety-related and there were 22 entries for the newly created category of Asset Integrity.

Under the Safety Innovation category, BG Tunisia received a Highly Commended Award for being the first asset in the BG Group to successfully implement an electronic permit-to-work system, replacing a traditional paper based one.
